Football Brain

I often tell people that I have Mommy Brain, which is where I am so frazzled or out of it, that I either say something really off the wall or do something pretty crazy. I don't think dads get Daddy Brain, I prefer to call it Football Brain. This happens at the time of the year when summer is ending, and daddies haven't been to or seen a their team play in almost 9 months, and they just aren't thinking clearly and say and do stuff out of the ordinary.

Case in point, our kitchen, earlier this evening:

Eric had a bottle of Maker's Mark, and Melanie walks up and says, "Daddy, what is that?"

He replies, "It's bourbon, honey."

She asks, "Can I have some?"

He answers, "I don't think you can, because it's not gluten free."

At this point, Mommy steps in, saying, "No, you can NOT have any because you are ONLY 5 YEARS OLD!"

Eric just started laughing at himself because he didn't even think about that when she asked him! I love you honey, but you are as crazy as our girlies!!
